But the truth is that at some level of fucked up every trace of bitterness evaporates and when you truly have no way out and nothing to grasp on to, only a higher power can come to your salvation. Even if it doesn't exist (which it certainly does and not just one necessarily, depends on what exactly you mean), one would rather invent it on the spot. The only way that Doom can be comfortable is if one has already completely given up on both life and existence and is fully self sufficient and content. But at that point you're nobody and nothing matters and you don't care about anyone or anything, so it's like you don't exist for any intents of purposes, everything looses it's meaning. Obviously were all here because we still care and hope or whatever.

On a more mundane level and looking from a little bit of a different perspective, what's real is consensus-based, are you the only one experiencing it or are there more people. However, at the end of the day, we can only be sure of our own existence, you cannot disprove solipsism even if you don't think it is likely, you have no proof for it, zero. You just choose to believe.

If you are convinced that Godlike entities don't exist though, you live in a world so small that it's hard to imagine for me anymore. Because I haven't been living in that world for a very long time.
