I put my see thru bird feeder back up today.
That's nice John. What's your favorite bird you've seen so far?

>>49123 I'm happy when any bird comes by but I love the cardinals most.
>>49130 Thanks John. What's your least favorite bird you've seen so far?
>>49132 Probably the grackle that bullied a black capped chickadee out of the feeder and then didn't even eat anything.
>>49132 >least favorite bird I can't place my finger on why but I find this exchange very humorous.
>>49146 Sorry about that, John.
>>49119 That's nice, John.
>>49151 Thank you. My cats agree.

A cedar waxwing came to my feeder last evening. It was cool. I really like cedar waxwings.
>>49163 Thanks for sharing, John. Are their wings truly made out of wax? I'd greatly appreciate it if you could confirm. Thanks. Sincerely, John S.
John, do you ever see turkeys or large birds in your feeder? I saw some turkeys today wandering around, and they were much larger than I remembered. I also saw some geese today, but they were shitting all over the place, so I don't care about them as much. Thanks for reading my post. Have a great day.
I dislike these types of feeders because they're always falling off.
>>49183 I live on the second floor, that would be interesting and not for here. This feeder is for regular birds, not large poultry. I also happen to adore geese.
>>49245 What is the cutoff between large birds and regular birds and even small birds?

>>49248 A crow would be too big but robins are fine. Along those lines. That picture is of a bird perched atop a bird deterrent, which could be construed as interesting, but the quality is low so it becomes uninteresting.

>>49173 The birds are called waxwings because of waxy red astaxanthin secretions at their wingtips. Fun fact: when cowbirds leave eggs in waxwing nests, the babies end up dying because waxwing diets aren't good enough to sustain them.
