Making my way through life as a software engineer these days, and no one cares what recreational substances you use in your free time. A lifetime ago I was a full-time gigging musician, and it paid the rent, but I was certainly not rolling in money (although life was a lot more fun back then).

I'm a dishwasher in a state that got hit so hard by the labor crisis that I'm making more than enough to cover my expenses and have enough leftover for weed and hobbies.
That said, I haven't smoked once in the last two months because my dealer's been out of stock since September and I'm too socially inept to find a new one.

In the new year I'm applying to be a bricklayer with a union one of my buddies is in tight with. Taking a break from weed for the next couple of months just in case they spring a drug test on me during the hiring process, but once I'm in shit is going to be so cash, assuming I don't get in some really retarded work accident or something. There's gotta be some stoners in the trades right? I refuse to believe that only alcoholics get to do it.

theres HHC that's like a weaker cannabiboid compared to thc. nevr tried it but my kratom vendor sells some. It's part of the psychoactive cannabnoid profile so its like a ghost version of thc and gets you high but i dunno.

Update im sucking on a hhc lolly right now after smoking some mids and it deffo is doing something. Gahhhh, the fuckers do drug test and they seem like narcs about weed... I'll definitely turn up clean for the hiring test, but going forward I guess I'll either need to revive Nick Cage's /hooch/ thread or take the risk and keep smoking infrequently. It's kind of crazy that doing hard drugs or alcohol is actually preferable for jobs like this one.

I'm a street performer. Because honestly fuck having a job. I don't want to end up like all these people who do nothing but toil their lives away and are always miserable.

OP reporting back in because I finally remembered where I put this thread. I ditched the moped and now I'm actually teaching music in addition to gigging. No drug tests in sight and I'm exclusively doing things I like to do for work, feeling pretty SLAYER these days

I do all the screenprinting/DTG/vinyl for a small print shop. I get paid ten cents above minimum but I live a quarter of a mile from the shop, have shit tons of vacation time, no drug tests ever, there's a shop cat, I can be late everyday and no one says a word about it. It's pretty sweet.

Im a teacher in a well to do country and grow my own shit. Idk how stoned i get anymore cause of the long term use but i have a vape before i go in. Helps keep calm with the kids and lets me think deeper. Got my own set up goin too so i dont really pay for it
