Some madlad I met randomly in the city told me that cinnamon increases bioavailability of weed, and thus I decided to make an experimental batch of a tincture using strong alcohol, cinnamon and a mix of pure CBD and THC. Have not tried it yet but probably will sometime soon. Anyone else experimented with this before? I must have done it unknowingly countless times cause I often put a dash of cinnamon in my coffee.

I make tinctures too and when I mix a teaspoon with some mixer, usually sparkling water and juice, the cocktail always turns milky or cloudy. Then some green sticky residue is left coating the inside of the glass, and when it dries it's crystalized. I've considered scraping it off with an exacto knife, but I have no microscope or way to test it for purity. I'd probably smoke it. But usually I end up scraping it all together when wet when the whole inside of the cup is green. Then I chew it up, and it's gummy and chlorophyllic tasting. But 'waste not, want not' and all. I'm sure it gets me a little high, or it would if I didn't already take a lot of edibles and tincture. It must have THC in it. But I'm sure I'm not losing a lot. I could let it burn my tongue temporarily and know I'm 'getting it all', but I like it in a fizzy drink, diluted so it tastes like weed and not alcohol.
But I'm interested to add cinnamon in my next batch. I think I'll just add a whole stick when I'm simmering the mixture. And if it's too strong I can adjust the next batch, maybe a temporary steeping. I can imagine that combo of cinnamon and cannabis being either really tasty or really gross together.

So I did it. I made the latest batch with a cinnamon stick. Pic is just before I started simmering.

Unfortunately I got really zoned out on bong hits and let it simmer way too long. It reduced by half and got really dark. Some people don't believe in heat at all. I added a little more everclear and strained it.

The batch is super strong though. I don't think I'm going to credit the cinnamon, but it might be a factor. I can't even taste it over the cannabis. Maybe ground cinnamon next time. I'll definitely never leave it on the heat like that again. I usually let it go for 20 minutes on the lowest setting, but this time was an hour. But at least I've concentrated the strength. Only need a 1/2 teaspoon and it sends me into stoner slumberland.

That's a 1/2 oz of ground Blue Dream and half a pint of everclear pure alcohol.

After my med card discount the price to make a batch is under $20. So it's about 5 times cheaper than getting high off of gummies I think.

I feel like I'm missing something here.
I've seen dispensaries selling stuff they say has THCa. Maryland has this in some places, for example.
THCa is apparently just D9 THC before decarb
But you decarb when you smoke it, right? So flower that has 25% THCa is just regular flower with 25% THC, right?

I'm still pretty new to all these terms. Some places just say they sell THC flower, and some list it as THCa.
I'm looking for clarification since there's shit out there like Delta 8, which I don't want any of that synthetic shit
I've only come across THCa as a term fairly recently, is the term a new thing, or is THCa a new thing?
