This movie is one of my all time favorites, though it is not without its flaws. Some say its flaws are what make it a cult classic.
I've been animating deleted storyboards and custom reimagining Transformers The Movie '86 for about 4 years now (with some major downtime inbetween due to sickness). Here is a comprehensive look at some of the major works I've done so far, and some new tidbits I hope you like.
There seems to be a lot of confusion around what scenes are deleted storyboards from the official storyboards (shared by TFRaw) and what scenes were created by me. For example, Ultra Magnus was never supposed to shoot back and hit some Constructicons. That was completely my idea.
And there are rightfully a lot of people who are against my adjustments to the script. I've argued with a lot of people in the comments in the past.
With this video, I hope to show what the original storyboards were, and the ways that I've reimagined them. I validate both. I am no longer against people who believe Red Alert, Mirage and Wheeljack should be dead. I hear your concerns about my changes, and I appreciate your passion for the original storyboards. I realize that I should reverently handle the source material. I will however continue to reimagine scenes because I love my G1 Autobots.
