You seem very angry and confused. It's disheartening to see how quickly you drop the pretense of civil discussion and resort to ad hominim and insult. I've run into this a few times. It seems to me that it stems from intellectual insecurity when faced with a competative mindset. When what they consider to be an "enlightened perspective" gets demolished, they panic and resort to any means necissary to "win" or "dominate" the conversation. It starts with an immediate enchrenchment in the flawed perspective, but realizing it is indefensable they lash out at anybody that's nearby.
It reminds me of the statistic about how one third of people are incapable of spatial visualization, and another third report that they don't think in language. This implies a subset of people with little that would reach a coherant or logical thought. I wonder what it's like for them- wandering through the world, reacting to stimulas with emotion they are incapable of reflecting on in any overt way.
I dunno shit about British Politics. I have my hands full trying to process what's happening in my own country. Anyway people are pretty much the same all over.

No one thinks in language, people use neurons in the brain instead. And only after the idea is already produced can it be converted to language, if necessary.
As a way to transfer it to other people. As a way to force the brain to keep focus.

Some people learn that to win arguments, they have to appear smart. Others learn they have to seem aggressive. Arguments won this way don't lead to truth, but people mostly argue for other reasons anyway.
