I don't call it a disorder, per se, but it can be a bit of a disability sometimes. I once greeted a friend's mother jovially and then realized that was the wrong way to do that, seeing as though I was there because because my friend died and her sister, also my friend, was going to their parents' house to get something. Like, "Oh, hi Mrs. Belisle! It's so nice to see you!" Didn't realize it until the next day, either. Just doing the dishes and then "Oh god, I'm an ass." Thanks, 'tism.
