Ecuador, 10 November 2025. 27 prisoners were force hanged by other inmates in Machala prison, in El Oro province of Ecuador. Using prison riot as the opportunity by one gang to hang and eliminate members of the rival gang. Among the people lynched was one white man, 29 year old Antonio Garcia from Spain, who was working for the gang being targeted as a “chemist”. Specializing in drug production process, by having a chemistry degree obtained in Spain and who was living in Ecuador for the last 4 years. He was arrested during a police raid on a drug production facility and was incarcerated in this prison only 2 months ago.

He was first ra-ped by other inmates and right after immediately hanged in his cell with his hands tied behind his back. His corpse was further desecrated by placing a condom one of his ra-pists used on his face. He was also hanged with his genitals exposed. Corpses of most other lynched inmates were also desecrated in different ways, with many in likewise sexually humiliating manner.

This practice of force hanging by other inmates (or making them to hang themselves) and then desecrating or making fun of their corpses is very common in South America. With many videos of such prison hangings being available online.
