For me there is some of that but also a large and growing part of it is also not wanting to feed pet imbecilic algorithms of corporations.
Then there is the long-standing problem of the average user having gone to utter shite over the decades which finally lead to them not being worth my time.

We were a real Internet once. We can rebuild but doing so in this rapidly deteriorating corpse of the original is probably impossible by now.

When I was visiting relatives in Fethiye, there were practically no crows, only magpies. Also plenty of pigeons and seabirds and sparrows. Having lived there for a week in the summer, I must say that Americans really don't know how to take care of their beaches and comparing their beaches to the ones in my homeland, I was blown away by how clean çalis beach was, crystal clear water like in greece, not a single bit of trash. Even lakes in the US don't get even close to such cleanliness.
