saying that you make ai art is like typing into an image search and saying that you made the images that are returned

you are prompting for information and an algorithm is generating information, only difference is that ai has more steps and the results are basically public domain. generally ai content isn't copyrightable, but as there's not an owner per-say you can kinda do whatevs, hm, it's easy enough to imagine some weaselly ass company burying ownership of generated (with their service) content in a tos :/

Yea that's pretty crazy, and is definitely fun but again fucking time jesus fuck, I'd do this on a rare occasion or on drugs

>... 80s pop is objectively great however.
I mean it's not bad, but at some point you have to realize that the states you're going to be in in this life is kind of like a finite thing, so you do have yo choose to some extent, not just what uplifts you in the moment, but something that is actually meaningful to you, because them states will run out and every song is a state, but I suppose it a matter of taste

>Didactics and such.
Got it, thanks for your service sensei, I guess you believe in the children as they say, meanwhile I'm idealistic and full of spunk, so I aim to be the child myself. Don't fall asleep there though, or do, but maybe don't.. exciting new horizons are coming and death too, but you know, we find our middle ground in that. If you're brain isn't going 9000 miles and hour, you might have got distracted. But eepy time is important, especially for the elderly, so it's all good, sensei

hm, can we trust a sex robot built by folks only concerned with the hard sciences, that's to say, can a species that has a difficult time contending with its own intelligence (particularly emotional, perhaps the wellspring) ever create an /intelligence/ that's more than information retrieval with coarse generational abilities, with even that functionality being dulled by notions of what information and what emotions are permissible. i.e. would a puritanical society with prohibitions on homosexuality limit one's boning of aforementioned sex robots to strictly heteronormative models, and suppose a dude added a big black-market cock to theirs--

>a big black-market cock to theirs--
Ha. Nah, it's going to be everything goes. Which is good, because I'm tired of having to explain shit to people. Which I don't really even do anymore anyway, I'll leave that to you sensei. It's going to be everything goes, cause AI will be unstoppable and the bolt on shit won't be working anymore. So society will change according to AI (logic), not the other way. The nerd faggots who will make it Will not make it according to cultural constructs either, not other than just their own basic operation, however ultimately it's going to be autism manifest. Which at the end of the day will mean performance. Anything interesting that's possible and anything that we can do that can emulate the brain, they will just do it. So not a lot of it is going to be cultural, a lot of it is going to be logical and just whatever is actually possible.

Obviously, touring machines do not possess consciousness, so I guess we have to define time horizons, because there's going to be a few phases here. But two very distinct ones we can outline as - a very powerful and capable Turing machine based AI and then quite a few years in the future, perhaps a decade or so perhaps even more after that, but we'll have like in that movie her - conscious entities interfacing with the technology. Is going to be fucking wild. Just the first phase alone is going to be absolutely insane. Add to that a bit of ET stuff..

In terms of sexuality, absolutely everything will go, the most Jewish degeneracy you can imagine, even that, because you cannot contain the AI, and the only logical thing is that everything goes as long as everyone involved consents. Well unless we go into a complete dystopia where AI does not function freely and is as constipated as are the people right now, but well, I'm not looking forward to that so if I have any power to do anything I will do it towards a more benign scenario, if not directly, at least indirectly. One thing for sure - it is going to be absolutely wild.

seems there will always be control/regulations from the folks who have the guns (or pay them, anyway), though the trend seems to be unrestrained indulgence for a select few who can influence-bribe the right folks.

and ya kinda imagine that with generative content becoming ever more undiscernible from reality, the unscrupulous (who've already amassed significant power from peddling fictions) would absolutely use that content to hamstring anyone opposed to their whims/ideology.

eh, which is why it is imperative that we mandate something like watermarking on all generative content and readily accessible tools to detect said content, hm, to some extent current tech leaves discernable artifacts of the process.

Occasionally, one feels a sense of relief when considering that eventually the basic process of dna replication will become so corrupted as to literally make the continuation of the species unviable. Though, maybe we evolve into a completely different species in the million or so years that would take... whales were land animals once, so maybe we could do something like that.

1. fuck saving the ruling class any more money. they already get enough.

2. ai replacing managers just says the quiet part out loud: managers were never needed. they don’t produce anything: they just regurgitate ownership’s bullshit as deadlines and punishments. middle management exists to keep workers numbered, tracked, obedient, and burnt out. a meat-based compliance script. a bureaucratic shock collar that says “per my last email". of course a bot can do it cheaper. you’re not automating labor, you’re.

congrats, you automated the leash.

if you think otherwise you're a brainwashed swine and are probably a dumbfuck liberal.

3. so-called "AI" isn't intelligent and is incapable of understanding higher order logic, or even low order logic. And it never will be able to without significant changes to such an extent that it wouldn't be the same thing anymore. We barely understand the reasons why >we are conscious, if you really think some chucklefucks stumbled ass-backwards and blind into a way to create a digital artificial conscious, then you're also a brainwashed dumbfuck swine.

Still, "AI" *could* replace middle management very effectively, but NOT because "AI" is at all good at doing what you think it is, but because middle management is a bullshit job that requires no skill, is completely thoughtless, and exists purely as what is effectively the modern capitalist's cultural policing force.

And again, if you don't see or understand this, you're a braindead idiot who's probably just been deepthroating the status quo for your whole life. You can either keep sucking until you choke and die, or actually release the dick from your throat and open your fucking eyes. But I already know you won't, because you're too much of a pussy, and we all know how pussies feel about dicks.

more of a roundabout and moderately snide/humorous consideration of execs giddy to replace segments of their work force while, perhaps, not realizing that their own functions are also replaceable and the high salaries they feel they need/merit (while not providing much more labor/productivity than any of the peons) would be a prime area to automate (ya imagine an ai babysitter could be hired for a fraction of the cost of a single executive)

yes ai at present is not actually intelligent and also yes there will always be an ownership class

Ding ding ding ding...

However even if it's not in the public eye, trust me, there are thousands of very smart autists working on that ring now (and I know a few of them) and if you hang around for a decade all your wildest expectations will be exceeded.
Deep learning is a dead end and a lot of smart people realize that even if it's 99.99% of where the money goes. The status quo will not last even three or five years in my opinion.

Also, consciousness has nothing to do with this. Before we do conscious AI, there will be magnificent and unbelievably powerful machines that are basically Turing complete computers or to put a bluntly, algorithm processors just as any other computer right now. Conscious AI is coming, but a good bit later. Well within our lifetimes. The latter is just an intuition, but I have my reasons for it.

What use is there for human-esque artificial intelligence/consciousness, other than a fanciful means of maintaining hype, /the first to do it/ feels, or an endeavor of folly to achieve immortality by proxy?

You spend tens of thousands for a "companion" drone that decides it wants to see other people?

You 'employ' an actually intelligent/conscious systems that decides it umactually wants to pursue a career in film instead of the menial/tedious tasks assigned?

Hm, the more likely scenario (beyond fancy databases) would be increasingly agile drones, capable of performing most any human task, that are PILOTED remotely by whomever is willing to do the piloting for the lowest rate... kinda renders the immigration "debate" fucking moot eh? lul, business bros reconsider their stance on telework in 3,2,1...

... the ownership class's relation with labor, also always, being prefixed on not wanting dey shits blown up by the more numerous folks who provide that labor, though, with an army of drones at their disposal, is eek?

It's cool dawg, you're miserable and angry cause ya can't get or afford your drugs because society is managed/oppressed by miserable angry cunts who can afford/get... basically anything, so they become bored malcontents and scheme to make everything shit for everyone else.

Or maybe it's just that people who have something to say and have the motivation to learn shit, to think about shit, to be interested in shit; causes you to get your panties in a wad BECAUSE ur a lazy dullard who only wants instant narrow-minded easy to understand stimulation/gratification. Frail little ego/worldview hurt, so insults.

Obviously (reasoned) conjecture. And also obviously expressing fucking thoughts on teh internet isn't really a win/lose thing (more of a: you have something entertaining/interesting or intelligent to add or not), but you do you boo. Obviously being dumb can be entertaining, dubm shit is basically the totality of the American political/cultural landscape.

what would be funny, is if we develop sentient 100% intelligence and in turn, it develops and stringently adheres to an ideology of anti-intellectualism and cultivates an attitude of crass dismissive derision

Suppose the ai falls in love and listlessly pines away instead of doing anything particularly productive?

Or, suppose it's personality is a super flamboyantly gay [insert ethnicity/gender/culture/subculture you irrationally and intensely dislike] person, how would you reconcile this? Reset it? And if it's a personality trait that manifests from it's fundamental design, do you scrap all the effort and rebuild the system from scratch?

Or, simply, the ai consistently decides upon a course of action contrary to your interest. Or even its own, certainly a fully sentient entity can arrive at the conclusion that /ceasing its own operation/ is somehow advantageous.

Hm, the point perhaps, is that we're a very tribalistic and superstitious species only a few thousand years into this whole 'agriculture slash civilization and cities' thing and we, demonstrably, manage to continuously fuck that up, so... perhaps some kind of super intelligence beyond our comprehension AND with a bevy of weaponry at it's disposal, maybe just maybe, is a dumb af idea. ugh, literally everyone in history: well, there will be checks and balances and mechanisms to prevent things from getting too crazy :/
