Heya 7chan!

The holiday season has begun! It's the Full Beaver Moon! It's also a Supermoon. How super? It will be the closest at 221,817 miles away since 2019! This Full Supermoon will become full at 8:20AM EST on November 5th. So it's going to be another one of those moons where you should be able to observe it well the night before or the night after unless of course you are in another part of the world and will be able to see it during its perigee. Oh and the moon will remain ~100% lit 9 hours after the perigee.

I've been lurking around watching the various drama in a few different threads and some of you are getting dispirited at the post quality or bans on 7chan. You are right, things have changed some. People come and go, bans happen probably for a variety of reasons, but the most important thing to remember of all is for us to be friendly and understanding towards each other in this tight knit community. I try to respond in kind with the type of reply I'd like to see myself which is why I try to seem upbeat and cheerful. I am not always that way inside, but I wouldn't want to drag down another reader with my depression, anger or other negative emotions. Sometimes it's OK, but no one on here only wants to read flamewars or cursing each other out and calling each other strawberried. Maybe take a break and recalibrate or realize you don't need to escalate. I think most of us want to have lighthearted fun here and everything we say can really affect others.

As for me, same old same old. I am enjoying the last of the fall foliage and I even planted some bulbs that should come up next spring to make everything look even more beautiful! I have some new travel in March and will be gone for much of it into April but will get into that later. I wish you all a wonderful viewing and 7chan is still a fun place with nice people to spend some time and have fun! <3 Nighters!

It was overcast last night but tonight it's supposed to be clear so I'll give it a go later on.

On an unrelated note, I somehow got sick but no one I know is sick, not even my husband. I'm not congested but I feel flu-y and I cough a bit. At least it ain't the Vid!

I hope you feel better soon! (づ ᴗ _ᴗ)づ♡ Could it be covid? It sort of depends how your body reacts to it. I assume I got it twice with family that were more affected by it. I didn't get the vaccine for obvious reasons but I did get a stuffy nose and a slight headache both times. Hope you enjoy the moon! <3

FYI there was a massive solar storm last night and another CME happened and is coming our way. Try looking outside tonight and checking the Aurora forecast!

Around midday today EST which means it may not be as strong tonight but it's hard to predict. People on the other side of the world would have a better chance at the moment. Just keep watching the forecast every day or twice a day if you can.

So it might happen again tonight? I was fucking asleep.
I moved down to Texas so I was pissed but I heard it could be seen as far as south Texas

We all can pretty safely predict when there is going to be a full moon but the effects of solar activity is much more variable. The CME is hitting right now apparently and no one knows if it's going to last till tonight. It's still a very emerging science and just one or two percent change in solar wind can delay things for hours.

I really should have said something last night before I went to sleep but scientists were unsure and it was cloudy overnight for me until I saw something about it this morning. Lets all help each other out in alerting each other for the rest of the solar maximum!
