Well, we all know, except the soldiers I guess, But even they got to know, many of them, after they returned, but yeah, they didn't know otherwise they wouldn't have fought it. Let alone genuinely believe in the whole veneer of heroism. Although of course there was heroism, just not in the general sense, only in the localized sense.

Ukraine war is interesting though. A bit different than most wars I've ever learned of. Partially because it's being filmed. Partially because the power that is attacking is I would say very unconventional. It's just very weird to have something like that in the 21st century. In some ways it is tightly involved with an ego of a man. Most other wars, yeah, egos were involved, but they also served many many purposes.

And the Ukraine war does serve a purpose. But more so as a grim reality show. The purpose of which is to make people reconsider the idea of war itself.
And also just the absolute barbarism of how the Russian army treats its soldiers. Like, if there wasn't the war with the Ukraine, man, these things... They just wouldn't happen. Except with niggers in Africa. So, I suppose it serves spiritual, cultural roles. And of course some strategic, economic etc etc, but I don't know, I think this war is a little bit different. Very very weird. But yeah, the fucking decision-makers have neither participated nor seen it online or are just really good at compartmentalizing it in their mind. Dick Cheney types. Although, his type is already obsolete.

I don't know, all this to say that you're giving me the most basic take and I don't know why. Doesn't even have anything to do with Bush. I feel like you just wanted me to read it.
