Aloha 7chan! πŸ€™

It's full moon time again! I'm going to post this reminder a little earlier while I have the time. This months moon is called the flower moon and it will become full at 12:56 P.M. EST on May the 12th. It will be a micro moon and will appear 14% smaller and 30% dimmer than usual. Of course, you won't be able to see it at that time because the moon will be below the horizon so you will just have to have a viewing the night before or the evening after!

As for me, things have been going well on my trip to Hawaii. I am now with a good friend on the Big Island near Mauna Kea (the tallest mountain in the world when measured from the base) in Hilo. I can see from my hotel and have visited the many observatories on the very top. If you want to read about them, here is a link!

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mauna_Kea_Observatories

I hope you all have a wonderful viewing and are taking advantage of springtime returning and getting outside. Anyone doing any planting or growing this year? I'll be in Okinawa in a few days. It's always nice to see the sky from a new area. The dark areas I've been to lately have been a dud. Oh well! Enjoy the moon! (^δΊΊ^)

When i lived up north country for awhile it was neat being able to see the nebula crap around stars in the sky at night being so far away from light pollution, couldnt see that in the city looking at the sky.

Yeah, you can totally see the Milky Way. It won't look super colorful with the naked eye though. Usually just a sort of white band of stars going over the sky straight up. In very remote and darker places you can see various colors and the twinkling of stars and celestial objects.

I finally got a nice viewing of the stars and moon 13000 feet up! All you have to do is go above the clouds!

Don't forget it's Mothers Day! So happy Mothers Day to all mothers here and try to give yours a call or take them out to dinner tonight!

It's the contrast.

You'll feel similar feelings in 10 years when the niggers from space start inputing their vibez publicly

Although there are many kinds. The big headed ones that look like toddlers are the most retarded, although they're good ar technical stuff. And somewhere deep inside even they hide some real treasures and wealth of actual intelligence.

Compared to Andromedans we're surely the ones that will take the niggrin roles.

If I ever get out into the North Woods, I'll see if I can get some pics. But my husband hates doing stuff so I probably won't ever get a chance to do that. :b

Thanks! (ΛŠα—œΛ‹)/ Waiting for my flight from Narita to Okidokeynawa now. I had a great experience on Zipjet. New 787s and super cheap flight. It was mostly empty too. Maybe 20 people.

I'd love to visit the north woods sometime and just get a 4x4 or something and camp. When I was up there a few years ago I was around the coast enjoying Acadia NP, lobster pounds and small towns among other things. Someone here was from Portland when I mentioned it long ago. I had a great time!

Your brain is color tricked. And if you refer to the technology, well I guess you can say that pure light on film is not color tricked, another type of film another type of technology, will give you a different color, so how do you know the one you got is not the one who got the trick?

you're talking to somebody slightly initiated into analog and digital photography. exposure and aperture is the name of the trickery, it will absorb lights through long time exposure and/or objective aperture. That's how you can get light, for example, in a relatively dark setting, and I suspect this might be the trick to reveal the lights in the milky way
