Banana prices went up 10% today. From 59c lb to 65c lb. Meat department at the supermarket reports they're seeing multiple items listed as "unavailable" for re-order, which started about a week ago and is "really weird" and "not something I ever saw before" according to the meat dept. manager.

I've been watching the prices of e-readers. The branda I was interested in have gone up 30% or more. I'm not interested in Kindles but I don't think they have gone up in price that much if at all yet

Asparagus went up a good 30% at my store. So it's $6/lb now and they are in big bunches so if I try to buy that shit its like $12 worth of asparagus.
