So not sure if I can ask this on this particular board and just wanted to ask this out of curiosity sake of what exactly the title says of simply what's ya opinion on tokusatsu (for those who don't know it's basically live action with major foucs on special effects and most part suits if they kaiju or henshin hero based media) do you think it's cool,sucks or indifference and what toku show you like the most?
or a show that fully got you into the medium

I liked when they did it because that was the best way they could create the effect or afford to with the limitations on technology or budgets available not so much a fan of it as a conceit in modern film/tv. Even back then everybody knew it's a guy in a suit stomping models but that was part of the charm. I think it was already sort of played out by the time power rangers was a thing.
