This is the first really hot summer we've had in at least four or five years. What are you doing to keep yourself cool? WHERE are you going to still stay active and avoid the sauna? Any spelunkers here?

I'm hoping to hit the beach when I go back home for the week. Trees are nice but I miss the ocean so much.

You are right. When you're in the forest and you can smell all the plants and the trees and it protects you from the heat of the Sun and how the wind dances in the beautiful vegetation is just so comfortable to be there, you think wow forests are so great. But when you go near the ocean and see the absolute raw Majesty of the water and the atmosphere mixing with it space and everything right there at your fingertips, is just beyond everything. Water can flow and it can CRASH. airwolfing water my friend it's like if stars decided to have some weird ass fun and create loreleis and vortexes and steam and thunder man, that's what I think when I see water.

I know whatcha mean. Sometimes I just get a need to go see a different climate. I lived for awhile on the Space Coast in Brevard and visited family in Hawaii. The luckiest people are those who live in areas where it only takes a short drive (and probably elevation change) to change your surroundings.

Beaches are nice because it is always a little cooler and you almost always have some type of breeze. That also keeps the bugs down. In the deep forest things can get more muggy and stagnant. Though Northern alpine forests are beautiful too and can be more comfortable and breezy with less dense vegetation. Every zone has its good and bad. I would probably least like the dense tropical forests near the equator though.
