Despite running for ten years, the essential viewing for it is easy enough. It consists of:
* 12 episode TV series
* Anzio OVA (duel vs the Italian school)
* Der Film
* Das Finale (currently unfinished)
in that order.
There are omake ova a-plenty but those can be missed as they don't further the plot. There are plenty of audio dramas, spin-off mangas, character songs and other such merchandise though.

Haifuri is probably better.
Hear me out. Yeah, the tank scene cgi is kinda....eh.
The ship cgi in Haifuri nails it every scene.

Big difference in shows-one has many uniforms. Other doesn't, but represents basics really well.

yeah yeah, another show no one watched. Because popularity beats all, amirite?

No, I haven't watched GuP. it's far too along for me to even attempt to latch onto. Just don't have the time, and am so far behind my seasonal crap and things I want to re-watch. So I'm not even going to try. If this is upsetting, well....
Not like I even have to watch. It's been covered so mush-a shitton of much-I don't have to. It's all been talked about already.
A lot. over and over.
Same as what movies used to be. So popular, everyone yakked about it. then they are in shock when I said I never saw it. I didn't need to. All of it's been given away already.
Son't need to watch-you've given everything away already. Show looks fun, ,but I just don't have the time.
Plus, the tank scenes pale in comparison to the boats/ocean animation of Haifuri.
Hard to get a consesus, as how many even watched Haifuiri. Wasn't "popular" enough.
