Modification of an old firearm revolver NoobGunRetard 23/06/26(Mon)20:37 No. 15713 [Reply]

I need help to modify my revolver.

My grandfather died and left me a revolver that only shoots blanks, an Olimpic 6 cal .22, when I looked at the barrel, I saw that it only had a weld so that a real projectile would not be fired, the truth is that I know nothing about guns, but I have the feeling that the preventive measures for people not to modify their guns in the 70s or 80s were limited to plug the barrel a little, but I do not know (I know that my grandfather got it in the 80s).

Here is a video (not mine) of its use.

You're glowing in the dark, but I'm feeling generous and will let you know that the kind of "revolver" you show in that image is made of potmetal castings. Potmetal is a very inexpensive zinc alloy used to make very inexpensive cast parts like refrigerator door handles. It cannot safely be converted into a firearm. It will not withstand the pressure. It is likely to burst into metal splinters and injure you if you were to attempt to fire it with real ammunition.

Are you guys all american ?

See, I'm french. No, wait, don't pee at me, let me explain.

In this piece of shit of country, weapons are said as "murdering things" and "devilized" (I don't know if I can be understood on this word but I give it a try) as hell.

I can't understand this commie shit. Take a wrench and hit the head of someone with all you can give… The result will be the same as shooting someone right between the eyes. That's just for practicing in case of war, hunt, or just shoot at targets for the pleasure to do this as a sport. As I do.

(Also, our medias are telling that America is fucked up to not prohibit weapons, and french dummies fall right on the trap.)

What do you guys think of this crap ?

It's true that government permissions don't create rights.

Rights exist whether government exists or not.

Americans like their constitution because it's was designed to violate their rights LESS than other governments.

Nothing made by humans is perfect.

I haven't found any laws regulating the carrying of hatchets on your person in Texas. I may start doing this. Any thoughts other than that OP is a pretentious wanker?

I'm just bitter because I can't carry my OKC-3S.

really axes for fighting are not that one. that is a tool that way. research pagan things like danish axe if you want an axe as a weapon. it is not a weapon in your OP image but a tool. find an acutal axe for figting to realize what you mean by that. "danish axe" war axe is a clue. reserach it. i do not like viking by the way.

Alternative weaponry? Anon Kalashnikov 14/07/23(Wed)08:29 No. 14988 [Reply]

I suddenly had the urge to think about alternative /w/eaponry.

Thinks like the tool on the left can be adapted into weapons. So, this thread will be all about the use of everyday items as weapons (I feel like an advertisement for some reason).

So, lets start taking about /w/eapons. In what ways could we adapt things like this needle scaler, or, say, a light bulb, into effective weapons?

Why does wikipedia think the effective range of a 5 is less than 30 yards when they think the effective range of 9mm is 50m?

Anon Kalashnikov 25/04/16(Wed)05:26 No. 15775

Probably because the model 6, being a submachine gun would jump around a lot more if chambered in 45, due to more recoil and a greater bolt mass than if chambered in the other cartridges.

Hello /v/, first time poster here, my 21st D-day is coming up and I want my license to carry and conceal. I have my eyes on a snazzy Glock 21 chambered in the .45 but I only have experience in the lighter 9 mm round, so, I need to know, is the extra recoil very noticeable? I am a pretty big guy and can usually handle myself but is there a hugely noticeable difference in kick?

Anon Kalashnikov 25/04/16(Wed)04:35 No. 15772

Yes, the recoil is greater.
However it's not bad, certainly way more manageable than the G20 (10mm)
The G21 is a bit heavier and larger in the hand than a G17 or 19.

.45 has a couple things going for it when used in a G21.
First the standard mag is 13 rounds. So plenty of capacity.
Second the recoil had a little less "snap" than some other rounds like 40SW or 357 sig.
Lastly, the .45 cartridge is subsonic, so if you had to fire it indoors to defend yourself, you're less likely to get permanent hearing problems from it.

Anon Kalashnikov 25/04/16(Wed)04:47 No. 15773

I skipped over the concealed carry aspect of the question.

As some other anons mentioned, maybe a smaller pistol for concealed carry would be better.

Although .45 is a great cartridge, if you're going to be hauling a pistol around with you everywhere, you'll soon be looking for something a little smaller and lighter than a G21.

There's a reason that G19's are so popular. The size/weight is pretty good for most people.
