No, but there's a difference between criticism and being critical. Criticism helps an artist (or anyone really) do better, build their skills, and grow. But the usual 'oh my god this sucks' or 'damn this artist sucks' or 'this isn't worth my time anymore cause it jumped the shark' etc. is not criticism. It's just being critical and follows the line of 'You know, I don't like this and it is now my job to inform everyone else of just how much it sucks!' and that gets old VERY quickly.

I genuinely get the feeling Incog is feeling a lot of pressure these days with the tightening of payment processors and figuring out how to also please his crowd. I've gotten the sense he may be having some depression or something. I don't know what it is, but something's felt off about him for the last year or two. He really seems to shine best when he starts new stories and explores the awkwardness and exploration of first times, and struggles the longer he has to keep a story going. I am thinking the economic reality of writing comics is making him more risk averse and producing more of the same. I have sympathy, even though his work is in a valley right now.
