There can still be tension without a will they/won't they conflict. Just a simple "what happens next" anticipation is good enough.

The problem is this one chapter has been going on for eleven months now, with the same plot as the previous two chapters of Ben/Gwen, Ben/guest, Ben/Gwen/guest. And it doesn't look like this chapter is ending soon, either, as we could be getting ANOTHER Ben/guest or threesome scene. Chapter should have ended after page 252-ish.

This is why stories have editors.

The current arc is literally one of the main villains coping with psychological trauma.
