So with Ashita no Joe, Yawara, Angelic Layer, Ace no Diamond, and Ping Pong being so fucking good, and no other genre constantly being at the top can we all agree that the best people to on to do sports shows? Either that or publishing companies hire some dynamite talent just to adapt sports material from print.

I'm pretty sure Battle Athletes was basically part of the Japanese propaganda circuit to get people running and working out, which they do a lot, so it worked, and the show is pretty good
